Was a Captain and a Lt. Colonel. Oct. 1779, Colonel/Commandant over the newly-created 2nd Mecklenburg County Regiment, eliminated in 3Q 1780. 4Q 1780, a full Colonel in the Mecklenburg County Regiment. Possibly in the Wilmington Expedition in the Fall of 1781. Served until the end of the war.
