Earlier, a Lieutenant in SC 1st Regiment. A Captain under Col. Stephen Bull. POW at Matthews' Plantation, confined to prison ship Packhorse. Prisoners seized the ship and landed at Halifax, NC. Promoted to Lt. Colonel, commander of Beaufort District Regiment.
