From Camden District. April 1777, enlisted under Capt. William Lang, Lt. Col. Robert Goodwin. May 1780, served under Lt. Elkin. August 1780, served under Capt. Richard Tucker. Wounded in the thigh at the battle of Camden, taken prisoner, held until May 1781. Summer of 1781, served under Capt. Willis Whitaker.
