Marched to Camden, SC, at Cheraw Hills learned of Gates's Defeat, went to Ramsey's Mill then to the Yadkin River. 1781, a Private under Capt. Jordan Harris and Col. James Read in the newly-created NC Light Horse Regiment. Badly wounded at the battle of Guilford Court House.
