Biography

1780, an Armorer under Col. Nicholas Long at the Public Factory in Halifax. Lived in Halifax County. May of 1781, sent by Lt. Col. William Thomas Linton (Nash County Regiment) to Spy on British troops as they approached the town of Halifax. He was wounded and captured by Lt. Col. Banastre Tarleton.
