Bennett Crafton in the NC State Regiment. The two tours in 1781, he served as a subsititute for a relative, Joel Stokes, to finish those tours. 1782, a Private under Capt. Aaron Harrell and Col. James Saunders. Born on 4/8/1764 in Brunswick County, VA.
