1778-1779, a Private under Capt. David Roberts, attached to Lt. Col. Thornton Yancey (Granville County Regiment). In the Purrysburg, SC expedition, no named engagements. 1780, a Private under Lt. Robert Park and Capt. George Oldham, attached to Col. John Collier (Randolph County Regiment). He claims this unit was too late for the battle of Camden, SC, but most of his fellow soldiers said they did arrive in time.
