Served under Col. Thomas Brandon. His Captain was a Captain Brandon, a half brother of Col. Thomas Brandon. From Caswell County, NC, earlier in NC Militia. While visiting relatives in SC, he was drafted into SC Militia. While on personal business, was taken prisoner by the British, escaped.
