Biography

1781, a Private under Capt. Edward Gwinn. 1781, also a Private under Capt. Thomas Donoho (1st NC Regiment) for 12 months. Furloughed due to getting Smallpox, recovered and went to Hillsborough to join up with his unit - captured by Col. David Fanning on 9/12/1781, POW for 13 months. Rejoined his unit at Round O, SC and was soon thereafter discharged. W5857.
