James Williams (SC). 1781, a Private under Capt. Shadrack Hargis, then under Capt. Vincent Harrison, both under Col. William Moore. His brother was Lt. David Mitchell. May have served under Capt. James Kell - he claims Kell was only a Private, but others differ. Born in May of 1765 in Orange County, NC.
